Locate authorized dealers near any location and find the right contact for your asset type — with an interactive map and distance-sorted list in one view.
🔍 Search Dealers
Two filter controls appear at the top of the page to narrow the dealer list and map.

| Search location | Type a city, address, or postal code to find dealers near that location. The list and map update to show dealers sorted by distance from the entered location. |
| Select Asset type filter | Dropdown to filter dealers by the asset types they service. Selecting an asset type shows only dealers authorized or equipped for that category. |
⚠️ Non-obvious behavior: The Distance column in the Dealers List reflects the distance from your searched location, not your current device location. If no location has been searched, distance values may not appear for all rows.

The Dealers page is divided into two panels side by side:

📋 Dealers List
The Dealers List shows all dealers matching the current search and filter criteria.

🗺 Map Panel
The map on the right side of the page shows dealer locations as pin markers. It updates in real time as search filters are applied.

⚠️ Non-obvious behavior: The map and the Dealers List are linked — applying the Search location or Asset type filter updates both simultaneously. Clicking a pin on the map highlights the corresponding dealer row in the list.
🔄 Workflows
Workflow 1 — Find the Nearest Dealer for Your Location
- Open the Dealers app from the sidebar.
- In the Search location field, type your city, address, or postal code.
- The Dealers List updates and sorts by Distance — the closest dealer appears at the top.
- The map pans to your searched area and shows dealer pins nearby.
- Note the dealer Name and Phone from the list, or click the map pin for details.
✅ Result: The nearest authorized dealers to your location are surfaced immediately, sorted by distance with direct contact numbers visible.
Workflow 2 — Find a Dealer for a Specific Asset Type
- Open the Dealers app from the sidebar.
- Click the Select Asset type filter dropdown.
- Select the asset type you need support for.
- The Dealers List and map filter to show only dealers that service that asset type.
- Optionally enter a Search location to further sort results by distance.
✅ Result: Only dealers qualified for your specific asset type are shown, reducing the risk of contacting a dealer who cannot service your equipment.
Workflow 3 — Add a New Dealer Record (Admin)
- Open the Dealers app from the sidebar.
- Click the + button in the Dealers List toolbar.
- Enter the dealer's Name, Phone, location, and applicable asset types.
- Save the record.
✅ Result: The new dealer appears in the Dealers List and their location pin is added to the map.
📥 Bulk Dealer Ingestion
Dealer records can be created in bulk using the Create Dealers ingestion type in Self Serve Ingestion, rather than adding dealers one at a time. This is the recommended approach when onboarding a large dealer network.

✅ Best Practices

Always search by location before contacting a dealer. The Distance column only populates after a location is entered. Without a location search, the list shows all dealers without proximity sorting — making it difficult to identify the most practical option for a field situation.

Use the Asset type filter before the location search for specialized equipment. If your asset type has only a few authorized dealers, filter by asset type first to reduce the list, then apply a location to sort by distance. This avoids the scenario of calling the nearest dealer only to find they don't service your equipment.

Use the map to confirm dealer geography. The list shows distance in miles, but the map gives a clearer picture of which dealer is most accessible by road. A dealer that is slightly farther in miles may be significantly easier to reach depending on terrain or routing.
